Global Fluency Training for Educators

Today, globalization has a significant impact on every aspect of our lives; be it in the office, the classroom, or the grocery store. Considering 1 in 5 students in the U.S. speak a language other than English in their homes, educators nationwide see the need to understand the diversity in their classrooms and how to leverage it to maximize each student’s experience. Global Fluency Training for Educators provides schools with the tools they need to serve an ever-growing multicultural student body. The goal is to recognize the value in diversity and leverage it to allow teachers to meet the needs of every student.

Through hands-on experiences, simulations, practical examples, and a theoretical framework of culture, participants can expect to:

1. Gain a deeper understanding of and define intercultural competence

2. Explore the “other” and the value of varied perspectives throughout their school communities

3. Develop skills to leverage the global landscape of their classrooms and school communities to enrich all students’ experiences.
